ClientBuild was developed from running real residential building projects at Trademark Design & Build in Surrey. We needed one place to see budgets, supplier bills, variations, valuations and client decisions on every job, and nothing on the market fitted the way builders actually work. So we built it, and we run our own projects on it.

Upload a photo or PDF of any invoice and the figures are read for you — supplier, invoice number, date, net, VAT and gross, with CIS tracked where it applies and reverse-charge VAT totalled separately. You assign the trade section and your budget updates instantly. ClientBuild helps you track these figures — it is not accounting or tax-filing software, and responsibility for what you file remains yours and your accountant's.
Yes — through the Xero API, included at no extra cost. Bills can be pushed across so you enter them once. Your Xero account remains yours: how CIS and VAT are treated inside Xero is your responsibility and your accountant's. Email support@clientbuild.co.uk if you'd like a hand setting it up.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Backup, import and restore are built in, and you can export your data at any time — you own it. We recommend taking your own backup regularly, monthly is sensible, and keeping the file somewhere safe like OneDrive or Dropbox.
